We adopted a 4 y/o 80lb Labradoodle with some pretty bad allergies and super dry. itchy skin. As a biochemist who studies human eye disease, I very well know the benefits of fish oil for humans and take a fish oil supplement myself every day. I knew I wanted to get my dog on one too and have tried at least 4 different kinds. First were gel caps. I put them in his food and he wouldn't eat them, so I had to puncture them with a pin and squirt them over his food which was a huge pain and often made an oily mess. This was slightly better but also never got fully consumed and made cleaning his food bowl a big pain because the powder would mix with his saliva, the dry and harden. Gross. Thanks God I found this...I was about to put my dog to sleep, I tried many vets for his sjom condition, they jist give medicine a but he would get sick again after finishing the medicine, we spend so much money in drs, that now we can't anymore, rocky is my life my love.for him is uncomditional, but since I started it giving his this product his skin allergy ,hot spots, are definitly.going away, his fur is growing back, he seems very happy...the big difference and the before and after is very big...I am so happy!!!

This is a fantastic product. I have two dogs (a border collie and a miniature Aussie) and had been giving them fish oil on a regular basis. I saw this while browsing in Amazon and it was for a fantastic price so I decided to give it a shot since the price was so great and I liked the idea of a tablet as opposed to caplets of fish oil which can sometimes carry and/or cause a fishy smell. Well I can say I'm really glad I stumbled upon this for several reasons. First the product is great. The price is low and my dogs coats look beautiful. I also think the formula is beneficial to their joints and such although I can't list any specifics since they had no "symptoms" of joint problems before. Both my dogs and two fosters I've had since buying this have enjoyed the taste and will take it just like a treat if I give it like that (although I typically just add it to their food).   • 1. What are the ingredients?

  • 2. What's the correct dosage for my dog?

    The number of tablets to give your dog each day depends on both their weight and their individual health condition. Here are the general guidelines for most products:


    To start, give your dog no more than ONE tablet daily with meals for the first 2-3 days (1/2 tablet if your dog is really little or has a sensitive stomach.) This will allow him or her to adjust gradually to this change in diet.


    Then, after the few days we suggest gradually increasing the dosage each day by one tablet until you reach the recommended dose by dog weight:


    Under 25 lbs = 1 tablet per day (or 1/2 tablet per day for really small dogs)

    25-50 lbs = 2 tablets per day

    50-75 lbs = 3 tablets per day

    75+ lbs = 4 tablets per day (or more for really large breeds)


    However... each dog is an individual with a different health situation, and so you may need to adjust the dosage (giving more or fewer tablets per day) for your dog.


    The idea is give your dog just enough each day to create a positive response. A 100 lb dog may respond great to one tablet per day, while a 25 lb dog may need four per day to help their conditions.


    Then if you feel it's needed for your dog's weight or condition (eg: digestive problems, or joint stiffness), then you can start to increase the dosage by one per day until you reach up to four per day (larger dogs may require a larger dose.)


    In any case please do not to worry... we formulated this product to be totally safe for dogs of all sizes, even at the higher recommended dosage.  If you have any further questions about how much to give your dog, or if you want advice on giving a larger dose than four per day, please let us know!

    Your pet's health matters to you, and to us. All of our products are made in the USA, and most ingredients are sourced from the USA. Some ingredients are sourced from safe and sustainable locations outside the USA when they must be. For example, our fish oil comes from pollack which comes from the North Atlantic Ocean near Iceland. Our turmeric comes from South Asia. All ingredients are tested for purity and potency before we use them, and if something fails our tests, we send it back. All finished products are manufactured in small batches in our GMP organic certified facility, and 3rd-party-tested for safety, potency, and to ensure there are no contaminants.

    You can give it whenever is convenient, but the product will be better absorbed when given with meals.

  • 8. Should I give the daily dose all at once, or spread it throughout the day?

    Either way. But if your dog gets multiple tablets each day, it will be better absorbed when given throughout the day.

  • 9. What is the shelf life of the product?

    Generally 2 years from the date it was manufactured. The bottom (underside) of the bottle shows a date and is clearly marked with either the manufacturing date or the "best buy" date. If you ever receive an expired bottle, contact us for a free replacement.

  • 10. What if I don't notice a difference after a few weeks?

    For most dogs the #1 most important thing to seeing positive results is making sure the animal is receiving the proper dosage. Please see our dosage recommendations above.

  • 11. Are the tablets crunchy or soft?

    Our tablets are crunchy chews. These tend to stay fresh longer than soft chews (which contain lots of moisture) and ours require far fewer preservatives... which is better for your dog. It helps with cleaning their teeth as well. Plus we have found that most dogs love to crunch on them!


    If they are too hard for your dog, you can crush the tablet and mix with food. This can be done most easily using an inexpensive pill crusher, which can be found at any pharmacy.


    But if your dog still won't take it, contact us immediately for a full refund (no need to return the bottle.)

  • 12. What about if my dog won't eat it?

    While most dogs gobble these down, for a select few it works best to wrap the tablet in something they like eating (eg: roast beef), or crush the tablet and mix with their food. You can get a pill crusher at most drug stores, which makes this very fast and easy.

Finally, a fish oil for my dog with no mess or smell!

We adopted a 4 y/o 80lb Labradoodle with some pretty bad allergies and super dry. itchy skin. As a biochemist who studies human eye disease, I very well know the benefits of fish oil for humans and take a fish oil supplement myself every day. I knew I wanted to get my dog on one too and have tried at least 4 different kinds. First were gel caps. I put them in his food and he wouldn't eat them, so I had to puncture them with a pin and squirt them over his food which was a huge pain and often made an oily mess. Next I tried the powder formular where you add a scoop to their food. This was slightly better but also never got fully consumed and made cleaning his food bowl a big pain because the powder would mix with his saliva, the dry and harden. Gross. Third I tried the liquid pump kind which worked pretty well but I could tell it made meal time less pleasurable for him and that kinda made me sad, so I went in search of a chewable form of fish oil for dogs and discovered this! My dog loves these and I can give them as treats! No mess, no ruining his meals, no fishy smell. I'm a fan!
